Gary Kenneth Kennedy

Gary Kenneth Kennedy, age 72 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
 
Gary was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 2, 1951, to Colson Eugene and Jenelle Craft Kennedy. He is proceeded in death by both of his parents, his sister Rosemary Thomas, brother, Richard E. Kennedy and nephew Stephen Craig Temple.
 
He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He retired from the U.S Postal Service after 30 plus years of dedicated service.

Gary was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.

Gary is survived by loving wife of 52 years, Regina Leary Kennedy; daughter, Laurie Kennedy and fiancé, Charlie Brockenbrough; son, Russell Kennedy and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Samantha and Luke Mitchell, Brianna and Brynleigh Kennedy; brothers, Jerome Kennedy, Brian Kennedy and wife Shelley, Eddie Temple and wife, Becky; Sisters in laws, Terri Kennedy, Dianne Leary Williams and husband, Dennis; Brother-in-law, Bart Leary and wife, June. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
 
A visitation will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 1:00- 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home followed by a memorial service from 2:00-3:00 pm in the chapel. Dr. Jim Hardy will officiate.
